PADI Enriched Air Nitrox Diver

EAND

Many of you have heard or read about Enriched Air Nitrox already. Nitrox usually refers to a mixture of nitrogen and oxygen with a higher percentage of oxygen than normal air (EANx - Enriched Air Nitrox).

The two most commonly used mixtures are EANx 32 and EANx 36 with 32% and 36% oxygen concentration, compared to 21% in normal air. Used by scientific and naval divers since the 1960s, the primary purpose of enriched air is to safely extend your no decompression limits beyond those of normal air. (See table for comparison)

PADI Rescue Dive

As a PADI scuba diver, you are now comfortable in planning and conducting your own dives, and more than able to continue along your own personal underwater journey. But what if things don’t go to plan? Can you cope with a problem arising in or under water?

Our PADI Rescue Diver course is specifically designed to develop the necessary knowledge and skills for you to effectively perform diver assists and rescues, manage diving-accident situations and render proper medic first aid. You will be exposed to potential problems and scenarios that you may have to deal with one day. During the course, our team of dedicated Instructors will equip you with specific skills and techniques you will need to confidently and decisively manage the situation. The program is an important step in expanding your knowledge and experience as a diver. Whether as a member of a team or as a buddy pair, by the end of this course you will be a better, safer and more confident diver than ever before.

The primary objective of this course is to prevent the need for use of rescue skills. A good diver does not only solve problems, he prevents them in the first place! In this course you will expand your self rescue skills, learn how to prevent diving related problems and how to recognize a diver in distress. You will learn techniques for helping another diver who may be in trouble, missing or even unconscious, and plan the fastest way to get him to professional emergency care. The course involves 5 knowledge development sessions with a final exam and 5 in-water training sessions during which you will practice 10 skills in shallow water before completing your final dive accident management scenarios on real dive sites with real divers.

You’ll find the course enjoyable and highly interesting, although the nature and context in which such training may be used is quite serious and that’s why we call it SERIOUS FUN! It is a challenging and the most rewarding PADI course which will expand your knowledge and increase your experience level. Rescue Divers learn to look beyond themselves and consider the safety and well being of other divers.

As the most up to date rescue training program, the PADI Rescue Diver course embraces the philosophy that there is rarely only one way to accomplish a task. Your size, strength and environmental factors will be taken into account when evaluating what techniques may be the most effective.
